Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 (Style.com)

Was in Country Road on Collins Street at lunch and they had a sign above coloured skinny pants "jeggings" - not the lycra blend, actual denim/cotton blend.  Anyway - unfortunately got reminded of this when I saw pictures of the clothes from Jason Wu (...not jeggings!).

The complimentary lipstick on the first two is fabulous and totally delicious. And I totally want to try the hairdo on the second image.

Valentine's Day milk ice cubes

Happy Valentine's Day.

A quick poll around a group of my girlfriends and their partners on the weekend revealed the majority bar one male didn't "believe" in Valentine's Day.  He believes in it but that means he expects something from his wife on the day and she doesn't believe in the day!  You can never win sometimes.

So to our one male "believer" in the group, this post is for you.  Ironically he is also the only one in the group who peels a banana from the end opposite to the stalk (we like to take polls in our group!).  He is unique and it is a quality to be admired indeed : )

I thought this idea was so sweet and simple and my friend could easily replicate it for her Valentine-believing hubby.

It comes from a subtle revelry and the ice cube trays are available at Ikea.  What's easier than that?

 Japanese sewing books - so freakishly good.  Despite being in another language, the patterns being a tad smaller for a regular sized person and sometimes rather daggy styles, I like 'em.

I got jealous when R bought some golf goodies online and decided to treat myself to some new 'reading' material.  I don't want to admit it but sometimes I don't even make the clothes - I just dream about them (!). 

Especially the 'Nani Iro' book.  Naomi Ito's fabric designs are just so lovely.  If I could, I'd cover my entire house with the fabric somehow.  Or at least make heaps of the clothes from the book like this blogger 'make something'.

Where did I go to buy the books?  So I live in Melbourne, Australia.  I was tempted to buy it from Tessuti Fabrics (tessuti shop) cos if you add the shipping to the online prices, it's comparable and you get it straightaway.  Plus, they stock all the good books.  If I was in Sydney, I'd hit up Kinokuniya also.  But if you don't mind the wait or online shopping, then YesAsia.com (yesasia.com) I think offers a good deal.  I got free shipping so it was really reasonable.

Gaultier Winehouse Tribute

Gaultier's 2012 couture tribute to winehouse this year was a psychedelic rainbow of colour, beehairs and eyeliner! Love the retro bubble-gum looks and of course, hair colours!
