BYO coffee cups

I'm very excited!

My very cool friend Jo-An showed me her latest coffee related purchase the other week - these awesome silicon coffee cups from Hookturn industries!

The people behind this collaboration are from Melbourne (yay!) and keen to help reduce the impact of our coffee crazed society on the environment. What a great cause.

The cups are durable, look fantastic, keep your coffee warm but are cool to touch, easy to wash and did i mention they look cool. Well done Hookturn!

Check out the website where you can order them online or find a list of stockists around Australia!

Monopoly Revival...

Check out the new Monopoly design. Circular, not round, no traditional "metal" cute player pieces and omg! No more worn out paper money to hold and count; instead, a debit card! It also takes into consideration economic inflation since the creation of the game. When you pass Go!, you get a sweet $2,000,000.

I duno...I do like the circular board and the clear hotel pieces. But I loved playing with my little scotty dog or boot, the chunky fat dice and laying out my money like a cashier.
Do not mess with a classic Monopoly!

Not really Jane Eyre: Charlotte Gainsbourg

I admit it - I watched the 1996 movie of 'Jane Eyre' before reading the book by Charlotte Bronte. Aah! I've now racked up about 3 reads so maybe I've redeemed myself...

The thing about the movie is... Charlotte Gainsbourg. She was memerising as 'Jane' - hardly 'plain' and 'little' and 'obscure' but hey, it's the movies! Perhaps it's her simple style. I think she's quirky.

book laptop cases

since the boy converted everyone in my household over to using macs (and happily so might i add), i've discovered that there are various creative mac laptop cases out there.

this one has a lovely vintage charm about it and so unique! none of that scuba gear material stuff for me thank you!

available at twelvesouth (who also make other very cool mac related accessories)

Shoes dreams are made of

Charli LOoooooves Christian Louboutin shoes...

did i say she loves them?

unfortunately they are beyond my budget and the height of the heels is also beyond my ability to walk! i don't know how she walks (actually she can run!) in her heels. very admirable indeed!

here is the new Spring wedding collection available here. they are so sweet! i love the idea of feature shoes for the wedding. wonder which colour i would buy?

wedding makeup ideas

I've never been much good with make up. So for the wedding I've asked Charli to be my trusty make up artist! yay!

This sweet image featured on june bug weddings appeals to me. Big false lashes, a little blush and some pinky lip gloss! Simple and flattering without too much fuss.

black and pink wedding!

mood boards are amazing aren't they?
they really capture the ambiance and personality through imagery and colour.

so my theme is going to be black and white with baby pink hue accents.

here is my own quickly whipped up board constructed from the goddesses of inspiration boards Snippet and Ink and also the very wonderful domestic goddess herself Martha Stewart - thank you ladies!
